Ideas for using Mobile Phones in the language classroom

This reading was really interesting because it important to know that the technology play a big role in the education with the huge range of mobile phones that exist the students have the opportunity to use whatever application to learn and practice a second language. For do that there are a lot of Apps where the students can record their voice, listen pronunciation and practice with exercises. Furthermore, Students can practice inside and outside the classroom because phones are social tools that facilitate authentic and relevant communication and collaboration among learners. On the other hand, the role of the teachers have to be clear and relevant when students can use their cellphone and which the purpose is. For example: teachers have to sure what skill students have to practice like

·         Reading: students can read an article
·         Speaking: students can recode their voice
·         Listening: listened one conversation and talk about it
·         Writing: write an article about whatever topic

There are a lot of Apps to increase the students’ knowledge. Also, all the ideas that  the document offers increased opportunities for language learning by taking advantage of a tool that students are intimately familiars with and carry around at all times.

The uses of these devices provide to students good opportunities to get engage with their process of learning. Something that I like form your article is that you mention the different advantages that learners can get. For instance, they can record their voices, listen pronunciation, practice exercises. Moreover, teachers can assign to students homework assignments outside the classroom, it makes students to feel motivate in learning. Furthermore, as you said, teacher has to be clear in which is the skill that students need to improve. For example, Reading: read an article, Speaking: Make an interview by recording a video, listening: listen conversations and Writing: write a paragraph about any topic.
